Woodend Village Rotary Community Projects
Our Community Projects

The major part of net proceeds from The New Woodend Star are returned to the community in a variety of ways. Either in donations to local causes or establishing permanent features in Woodend.

We thank all our advertising clients for their support over the years in making these community projects possible.

To acknowledge the Rotary Centenary in Australia The Rotary Club of Woodend is showcasing the following local community projects which the club has installed, maintained or refurbished in the town since its Charter in 1987.

The New Woodend Star and the Rotary Club of Woodend acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Peoples and their Ancestors as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands of the Macedon Ranges on which we meet, work and live. We recognise their living culture and continuous connection to the land and waters in our area and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
